Daddy Sends Out The Word

Was born on the 28th at 6:08PM. :)

Lynne is doing fine, walking around (sore of course) and holding/feeding our little son (5lbs - 18")

He was born premature (as you can guess... ummm... good timing on that shower) at 35weeks and 3 days. The good news is he wasn't even fully out when I saw him begin to SCREEEEEEAAM and cry :) he certainly had a good pair of lungs (no comment) on him. He scored a 9 on the 1 min Apgar test (9 out of 10, 9 though is the best anyone can get on 1 min - hard for skin under nails to be pink that fast on newborns.) and another 9 later on (assuming this one you COULD get a 10 on, not sure)

His breathing was fine and no assistance was needed for that - his eating was a little lower than they wanted first feeding (20cc vs 30cc) but when Lynne last fed him before I left to prepare and bring stuff back - he hit 35cc and Lynne thought he'd take more. He's teeny and great :)

She is at Greenwich hospital (203-863-3000, 118 - post partum, 3rd floor) she will be there until tomorrow some time. My folks just passed Savannah lol an hour ago and are driving up in the babystuffmobile. She may be out feeding or whatever if you call - my cell (I'll be back there 3pm-5pm? once done here) is 914-471-3127 hers: -3129 (dead bttry and with me charging atm).

She sends her love and wanted you three to know asap.

There are some funny "rains it pours" stuff, but I will save the stories for the happy Mom.

Love,
Dan
