Pony Express - No

[Transcribed from video]

Today, we went to the Methodist Church Children's Carnival in Rye.  Alex didn't quite know what to make of it.  He wasn't thrilled with the ponies, thinking they were just hilarious. Riding the pony was another story.  He said he wanted to. As soon as it got too bouncy, though, he was all about the "Down! Down!"

A favorite part was the toy sale.  He got a Lightning McQueen, a siss-a-sah mixer (cement mixer) and a duntruck (dump truck).  He wouldn't let go of them all day. So the rest of the rides just didn't hold interest.  He did enjoy the idea of dumping a small ball in a basketball hoop. Really, he liked the idea of the small soccer ball he got to play with.  Our trip home was fun for him. He got his own ticket and everything! (At least he had the ride tickets from the carnival and he called them tickets for the train.)

The cement mixer and the dump truck. They were the highlights. Them and the cookies.

I'd say the carnival was a win.
