Grandpa Fashion

Alex asked me if he could put on socks this afternoon. I told him to go get a pair from his sock drawer and I would help him put them on. He emerged from his room with two pairs of socks and his Buzz Lightyear sandals. He excitedly sat down on his chair trying to get them all on at once. I sat down to help him.

'I'm pretending like grandpa!' he announced.

Pretending like grandpa? I got the socks on his feet and he quickly worked to get the sandals on over them. I got what he meant - I think.

'Alex, I have never seen your grandpa wear socks with sandals.' I told him as I helped him close the sandals.

'Yeah! Yeah! He does!' Alex announced 'And I'm just like grandpa!'. He stomped around the house with glee.

Gerardo, if you're reading this, I have no idea where he thinks he got this fashion idea. I'll try to keep his announcing his Grandpa Fashion influence to a minimum. I'd hate to have him slandering you like this.
