At Trotta's this afternoon, Alex picked up a toy guitar he's had his eye on for months. He's also recently become fond of Daddy's DVD, 'Bruce Springsteen: Live from Hyde Park'. He's even asked us to play it for him.

Well, anyway, the guitar...

Today while playing with the guitar, Alex declared 'I'm like Bruce! Trapped! Ooooo-yeah-aaaah. Trapped! Ooo-ye-ah-ah!'

Thankfully, Dan was able to get a replay of it on video. When we got home, Alex asked for the song to be played. I played the Bruce version on iTunes and the Jimmy Cliff version on YouTube from an appearance Cliff did on Letterman in the mid-80s.

Alex now calls the Jimmy Cliff version 'Talkin' 'bout Trapped!' and throws his head back like Jimmy Cliff does in the performance.
