A Midsummer's Night's Walk

I'm going mad with nothing to do.  I'm going mad being around Alex all day long with no break. I need to update the journal, but I don't have the space and/or photos to do it.  OK, time for me to take Alex out of the house tonight!  I suggested a walk to Dan at around shortly before 7 PM.

We walked to the "treat shop" (Chocolations), but it was closed.  We walked to the diner after that, stopping for treats there.

Some highlights from the walk:

- Alex wanted to stop at Dunkin Donuts after the diner.  Reason? They're open late, because "Everybody wants donuts".
- Alex asked what our favorite parts of the day were - we both said it was then and there.  Alex then asked what our least favorite parts of the day were.  Not surprisingly, he mentioned the fight we had.
- Alex brought along his Captain America mask and shield.  He was being a superhero when he thought his parents needed it.  He was stopped in the park by some kids who had just come from a Captain America party.
- We saw Steve the mailman on the way back.  Alex couldn't recognize him.  Not even after Daddy's hint that he shared a name with Captain America.
- We heard personal fireworks on the way home and Alex had a breakdown.  He held onto his ears all the rest of the way.
